Since 2009, the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer has been supporting important research funds at the Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center –James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute to further advance cancer research. In 2011, we decided to also support a separate annual project called Buckeye Cruise Fund a Need, which supports a much needed piece of technology that will have direct and immediate impact on thousands of patient’s lives as they are being cared for at The James. Each year we introduce a new project on the Buckeye Cruise and solicit donations in an auctionstyle setting, allowing folks to play a larger role in the hopeful journey of cancer patients. Since 2011, our cruisers have helped to raise more than $1,346,000 for these projects! The technology we support is state of the art, cutting edge equipment that gives the cancer patient the greatest chance of detection, treatment and survival. We are so very proud to have supported research that has directly impacted hundreds of patients here in central Ohio, and will continue to do so in the future. To make your own impact on the lives of others, donate now to the Buckeye Cruise Fund a Need.
